Eaton County prosecutor in statewide race for attorney general
Doug Lloyd, the Eaton County prosecutor, is running for Michigan attorney general against Washtenaw County prosecutor Eli Savit. The election, held on Tuesday, November 3, seeks to replace Attorney General Dana Nessel, who is leaving office due to term limits.
Voters in Eaton County and across the state will also decide the governor's race between Democratic Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson and Republican U.S. Rep. John James. The ballot includes races for U.S. Senate, all 13 U.S. House seats, and both chambers of the state Legislature.
Two constitutional proposals are also on the ballot. Proposal 1 asks voters to hold a convention in 2027 to consider rewriting the state constitution, while Proposal 2 would limit campaign contributions from certain regulated utilities and government contractors.
