Ingham County crash kills boy, critically injures sister
A 12-year-old boy was killed and his 13-year-old sister suffered life-threatening injuries Saturday morning when a vehicle struck them as they rode bicycles in Ingham County, Michigan State Police said.
The crash occurred shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Grand River Avenue near North Meech Road. Police said a 64-year-old Williamston woman was driving west when she hit the siblings on the road’s shoulder. Police said drugs and alcohol do not appear to have contributed to the crash. Both children were wearing helmets, and the investigation remains ongoing.
