Kent County launches 2026 fall color tour with new interactive guide
Kent County Road Commission and Kent County Parks Department have launched the 2026 Fall Color Tour, offering residents and visitors a new interactive guide that maps 18 scenic routes across the county. The tour covers more than 350 miles of roads and highlights key natural and historic sites.
The guide is synced with Google Maps and can be downloaded or printed as a PDF, allowing drivers to plan their trip with ease. The routes are divided into northern, southern, eastern, and western regions, and include notable bridges such as the Fallasburg Covered Bridge, Ada Covered Bridge, Whites Bridge, and Pine Island Drive Bridge.
Managing Director Jerry Byrne and Parks Department Director Ben Swayze emphasize the tour’s convenience and safety, urging motorists to watch for work zones and slow-moving equipment. They recommend checking the Pure Michigan Fall Color Map for peak color timing and submitting photos through the online form.
