Lansing holds 9/11 remembrance ceremony Friday

The city of Lansing will hold a 9/11 remembrance ceremony Friday to honor those affected by the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks. The ceremony will begin at 8:30 a.m. at Wentworth Park, 110 N. Grand Ave., in Lansing.

Flags have been placed around the Michigan September 11 Memorial to honor each Michigan resident who died in the attacks. Speakers will include Lansing Fire Department Chief Carrie Edwards-Clemons and Lansing Police Department Chief Robert Backus.
