Late penalty leaves MSU and Michigan tied in East Lansing

Michigan State and Michigan played to a 1-1 draw Tuesday at DeMartin Stadium in East Lansing, leaving the Big Bear Trophy with the Spartans. MSU took the lead in the second half when senior midfielder Leo Conneh scored.

Michigan equalized with about five minutes remaining after a foul in the box, with forward Michael Ramirez converting the penalty. The draw added a point to Michigan State’s Big Ten tally.
