Michigan candidates roll out new endorsements across key races

U.S. Rep. Haley Stevens, seeking the Democratic nomination for U.S. Senate, was endorsed by Gov. Gretchen Whitmer, former U.S. Rep. Brenda Jones, UFCW Local 876 and The Michigan Chronicle.

Abdul El-Sayed received endorsements from U.S. Sen. Ed Markey, U.S. Reps. Ayanna Pressley, Greg Casar and Bonnie Watson Coleman, congressional candidate Chris Gilmer-Hill, filmmaker Michael Moore, the Wayne County Deputy Sheriff’s Association and AFGE Local 704.

In Michigan congressional races, William Lawrence, Bridget Brink, Mike Bouchard, Christina Hines, Tim Greimel, Eric Chung, Donavan McKinney and U.S. Rep. Shri Thanedar each announced new endorsements. Michigan Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson also drew backing from Wayne County Executive Warren Evans, Oakland County Executive David Coulter and AFT Michigan.

Republican gubernatorial candidate Perry Johnson was endorsed by Nikki Snyder and announced support for the Michiganders for Money Out of Politics ballot proposal. Lisa McIntyre and Katrina Manetta also received endorsements in state House races.
