Paula Poundstone comedy show set for Wharton Center in October

Comedian Paula Poundstone will perform at Wharton Center in East Lansing on Friday, October 2, 2026. Tickets are available through the Wharton Center Ticket Office, online at whartoncenter.com, or by phone.

Poundstone is known for her observational humor and improvisational style. She hosts the weekly podcast "Nobody Listens to Paula Poundstone" and appears regularly as a panelist on NPR's "Wait, Wait…Don't Tell Me."

She has starred in HBO specials, including "Cats, Cops and Stuff," which won a cable ACE award for Best Comedy Special, and voiced the character "Forgetter Paula" in the animated films "Inside Out" and "Inside Out 2." Her book "The Totally Unscientific Study of the Search for Human Happiness" was a semi-finalist for the Thurber Prize for American Humor.
