Major technology stocks surged on Wednesday following Democratic victories in both the House and Senate during the midterm elections. Amazon rose 8%, Google climbed over 6%, and Apple gained nearly 7%, while Microsoft and Meta also posted significant increases. Investors reacted positively to what strategists described as a reduction in market uncertainty caused by the divided government.

CoreWeave stock fell 10%, and Tesla dropped 2% as investors reassessed the pace of AI data center construction. Analysts suggested that increased regulatory scrutiny in states like Texas, Georgia, and Ohio could slow new projects, favoring well-capitalized incumbents who have already secured power and financing.
