Three juveniles detained after Delta Township gun threat report

Eaton County Sheriff's deputies detained three juveniles Friday following reports of individuals on a moped threatening someone with a handgun. The incident began in the 5600 block of W Saginaw Highway, where deputies were dispatched around 2:15 p.m.

One suspect was held at the scene while the other two fled on the moped, prompting Waverly Community Schools to place a lockdown in effect. The school district was already closed due to an ongoing boil water notice.

Deputies located the moped near Waverly High School and used a K-9 unit to find the remaining suspects. All individuals have been accounted for, and the sheriff's office confirmed there is no ongoing threat to the public.
