USA Rare Earth falls 6% as milestone funding lags behind
Rare earth stocks fell as a group, with USA Rare Earth (NASDAQ:USAR) dropping 6% to $11.86, a 30% decline over the past month. The decline follows a broader sector sell‑off that has left investors questioning the timing of the company’s milestone‑based reimbursement program.
MP Materials (NYSE:MP) also fell 6% to $43.45, while Critical Metals (NASDAQ:CRML) held up with a 0.5% dip to $6.82. The VanEck Rare Earth and Strategic Metals ETF (NYSEARCA:REMX) slid 5% to $58.15, compared with a 0.1% change in the SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust (NYSEARCA:SPY) at $777.95.
