Wall Street eyes earnings, CPI, and Fed remarks this week

Investors will focus on earnings from JPMorgan Chase, Goldman Sachs, Citigroup, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, and BlackRock, with expected EPS and revenue figures for the July‑September quarter. JPMorgan is projected to report an EPS of $5.95 on revenue of $51.16 billion, Goldman Sachs an EPS of $14.84 on revenue of $17.92 billion, and Citigroup an EPS of $2.69 on revenue of $23.5 billion. Wells Fargo is expected to report an EPS of $1.79 on revenue of $22.37 billion, while Bank of America, Morgan Stanley, and BlackRock will report their results before the opening bell on Wednesday.

The Consumer Price Index is expected to rise 0.6% in September on a seasonally adjusted basis, with core CPI at 0.2%. On an annual basis, CPI is projected at 3.7% and core CPI at 2.5% for September.

Federal Reserve Governor Kevin Warsh will speak on Thursday at the 2026 Annual Meetings of the Boards of Governors of the International Monetary Fund and World Bank Group, and Federal Reserve Bank of Cleveland President Beth Hammack will speak at the Women’s Trading Network Fireside Discussion. After hours on Friday, the SPDR S&P 500 ETF (SPY) was flat, the Invesco QQQ Trust ETF (QQQ) edged up by 0.01%, and the SPDR Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF Trust (DIA) rose 0.02%.
