Singapore warns weather could push up food prices

Singapore’s central bank said adverse weather in the country’s import sources is expected to lower agricultural output and raise food prices.

Food, retail and other goods inflation is expected to increase as imported costs pass through. Renewed tensions in the Middle East have also raised the risk of higher input costs and supply chain disruptions.
