Quantexa weighs multibillion-dollar listing in Britain or the U.S.
British artificial intelligence company Quantexa is considering a multibillion-dollar initial public offering in Britain, the United States or both, Chief Executive Vishal Marria told Reuters. The company has not decided when to pursue a listing and could remain privately held.
Marria said U.S. markets offer deeper access to capital and the potential for a higher valuation. Quantexa has been ready for an IPO since January, he said, but declined to discuss timing.
Minority investor Warburg Pincus is separately working with Citigroup to explore options for its 9% to 10% stake, including a possible sale, according to people familiar with the matter. The process is at an early stage, and a deal is not guaranteed.
