Trump adviser says Republicans can retain control of Congress in midterms

James Blair, a top adviser to President Donald Trump and chief of the president’s MAGA Inc. Super PAC, said Republicans have a path to retain their majorities in Congress despite political headwinds heading into November’s midterm elections.

Blair cited Trump’s low approval ratings and voter concerns about the economy and the war with Iran, while arguing that Republican candidates could improve their position by focusing on their Democratic opponents. He said MAGA Inc. Is beginning to spend on Senate races and that Trump plans to campaign in 35 contests.
