Central banks hold rates as inflation concerns rise
The Federal Reserve held interest rates steady during the latest reporting period through August 5, while the Bank of Japan and European Central Bank also kept rates unchanged.
CEIC data from Permutable AI showed a sharp rise in the 30-day moving average of its Net Inflation Sentiment Score, led by the U.S., Germany and Italy. The increase came as fading hopes for stability in the Persian Gulf and a rebound in oil prices fed inflation-related coverage.
Singapore-based DayOne Data Centers secured an additional $2.5 billion in Series C funding led by Coatue Management, completing one of the largest private funding rounds in the data-center business.
