Eaton County prosecutor and Washtenaw County prosecutor vie for Michigan Attorney General

Eaton County prosecutor Doug Lloyd and Washtenaw County prosecutor Eli Savit are campaigning to become Michigan’s next Attorney General, according to a recent interview with 9&10 News.

Lloyd, who has been an attorney for 34 years and a prosecutor for 30, was elected Eaton County prosecutor in 2013. He highlights his experience creating an economic crime unit and his focus on protecting citizens and ensuring affordability in local communities.

Savit, who began his legal career on the U.S. Supreme Court and later led public interest litigation in Detroit, emphasizes worker and consumer protection, and his work against opioid and corporate fraud. He stresses the Attorney General’s role as chief law enforcement officer and legal counsel for the state.
