GLC Property Maintenance workers halted by ICE agents in Highland Township

On Thursday morning, six employees of GLC Property Maintenance in Highland Township were stopped by nine U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement vehicles while heading to work. Video evidence captured the encounter, and the company confirmed that all six workers are legally working in the U.S. on H-2B visas.

Owner Tyler Ralko posted a TikTok on Friday that has received hundreds of thousands of views, detailing the incident and his efforts to support the employees. He has since contacted an immigration attorney and U.S. Sen. Elissa Slotkin's office, seeking answers as to why the workers were stopped.

Ralko said the company is frustrated and trying to figure out why it was stopped in the first place, and that other landscaping businesses in the area have reached out to him. He believes this story is a reminder for all H-2B visa employees to keep their paperwork on hand at all times.
