Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch donates nearly 3,000 pounds of food to local groups

Herbruck’s Poultry Ranch, a fourth‑generation family poultry farm based in Saranac, donated nearly 3,000 pounds of nonperishable food items during Hunger Action Month in September to support families and neighbors in multiple communities where the farm’s facilities are located, including Ionia, Saranac and Belding.

The donation also reached Kendallville, Indiana, and Mercersburg, Pennsylvania, according to Ionia County Farm Bureau member Amy Herbruck, community relations manager at Herbruck’s.

Hunger Action Month, organized by Feeding America, aims to raise awareness and inspire action to end food insecurity in the United States; each year Herbruck’s donates more than 2 million eggs to community organizations, along with funds, supplies and other resources.
