Michigan opens Exhibition Slate Against Eastern Michigan on Sunday

The University of Michigan men's basketball team will debut its 2026‑27 Crisler Center program on Sunday, Oct. 11, hosting Eastern Michigan in the first of a three‑game exhibition slate. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m., with the contest streamed live on B1G+ by Michigan’s StudentU broadcast team.

Michigan returns to Crisler Center for the first time since clinching the 2026 national championship, a 69‑63 victory over UConn that capped a 37‑3 season. The game marks head coach Mike Boynton Jr.’s first appearance at the venue, following two seasons on the Michigan staff and a 64‑13 record that included two Big Ten tournament titles.

Eastern Michigan opens a three‑game exhibition slate, with Michigan scheduled to host Oregon State on Friday, Oct. 16, and Houston in The Battleground 2k26 at Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids on Sunday, Oct. 25. The regular season will begin Monday, Nov. 2, against Oakland at Crisler Center. The roster features returning stars Elliot Cadeau and Trey McKenney, along with new additions from the transfer portal. Michigan also completed a nine‑day summer tour through Lithuania and Croatia, closing with an 84‑81 win over Serbian club Mega Superbet.
