Ionia County crash injures Two near Saranac in a Ford Fiesta and farm equipment collision

A crash involving a Ford Fiesta and a piece of farm machinery left two people critically injured near Saranac in Ionia County on Tuesday, Sept. 29. The collision occurred at the intersection of Sparks and Feuerstein roads, according to the Ionia County Sheriff's Office.

Deputies reported that the driver of the farm implement was turning left onto Sparks Road while the driver of the Fiesta was passing in a no‑passing zone. Both victims were transported to a Grand Rapids hospital with critical injuries.

Saranac and Belding fire personnel and the UM Health Survivor Flight service also responded to the scene, the Sheriff's Office said.
