MCC library hosts conversation on American Indian boarding schools

Montcalm Community College’s Library hosted a powerful conversation on Sept. 30 about a difficult chapter in American history and its enduring impact on Native communities.

William Johnson, interim director of the Ziibiwing Center in Mount Pleasant, shared the history of American Indian boarding schools, bringing greater understanding to the experiences of Indigenous children and families whose stories continue to shape communities today.
