Democratic candidate Chris Kleinjans is running for Michigan Senate District 31, facing Republican John Wetzel in the Nov. 3 general election, a race that will shape local business policy and impact ordinary people's wallets.

District 31 covers a large portion of Ottawa County, including Grand Haven, Holland, Hudsonville, Jenison, Zeeland, and a small part of Allegan County.
