October jobs report complicates rate-cut hopes as Bitcoin traders watch the Fed

The US economy added 165,000 payroll jobs in October while the unemployment rate held at 4.1%, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics release on November 6. The data complicate hopes for quick monetary easing, as a stronger labour market gives policymakers less reason to cut interest rates rapidly.

Employment gains were led by professional and business services, which added 70,000 jobs, substantially above the recent monthly average. The report also revised August and September gains upward by a combined 84,000 jobs, and average hourly earnings rose 0.4% in October, supporting a 3.1% annual increase.

Bitcoin traders are monitoring the report because employment data influence Federal Reserve decisions on interest rates, which in turn affect dollar liquidity and investor risk appetite. While the jobs figure provides a firmer data point in the interest-rate debate, it does not guarantee a specific outcome for Bitcoin prices or Fed policy.
