Portage Schools welcome four new administrators for upcoming year

Superintendent John Edwards opened the board meeting by introducing four new administrators, welcoming them to the community and inviting each to address the board.

The new hires include athletic director Tim Knox, principal Jason Messager at Northern High, principal Sydney Bailey at West Middle, and assistant principal Caitlin Lopez. Knox thanked the crowd and said he was "really looking forward to this next chapter." Messager highlighted his 22 years of experience and a focus on "student voice." Bailey described plans to "continue and take to another level" existing programs, while Lopez expressed enthusiasm about working with students and staff.

The introductions were part of Edwards’ report at the start of the meeting, and board members offered congratulations and brief comments of welcome.
