Severe thunderstorm warning issued for part of Eaton County

A severe thunderstorm warning was issued at 8:24 a.m. Friday for part of Eaton County, according to the National Weather Service in Detroit.

Forecasters said damaging winds and hail were the primary threats, with isolated tornadoes, heavy rain and localized flooding also possible. Storms were expected to diminish Friday night, followed by cooler, less humid and sunnier conditions into the holiday weekend.
