Trump rallies in Syracuse, backs Blakeman, calls for economic growth
President Donald Trump spoke at the Oncenter in downtown Syracuse on Friday evening, rallying support for Republican gubernatorial candidate Bruce Blakeman and endorsing Anthony Constantino and Kailee Buller. He highlighted strong economic performance, stock market gains, and manufacturing growth, and promised $5,000 to adult citizens if Republicans win control of both the House and Senate.
Trump also emphasized voter ID, ICE and border enforcement, and called for an end to sanctuary city and state policies in New York. He pledged stricter law enforcement measures, the death penalty for large‑scale drug dealers, and a Nobel Peace Prize for the United States, citing his settlement of eight wars.
The speech concluded at 9:39 p.m. With Trump reminding the crowd of his 2024 victory in all seven swing states and playing a CNN clip about support among MAGA Republicans. He called up former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, and urged voters to join his line to “Make America Great Again.”
