Two men killed after semi-truck strikes disabled vehicle on I-94

Two men died Tuesday morning after a semi-truck struck them on the shoulder of eastbound I-94 in Calhoun County, Michigan State Police said. The men, ages 51 and 40, had exited their truck to check a flat tire.

The semi-truck driver suffered minor injuries, while alcohol and drugs were not believed to be factors. The highway was closed for several hours and reopened shortly before 9:30 p.m. Tuesday.
