Cass District Library holds budget hearing on proposed tax millage

The Cass District Library Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on the proposed budget for the fiscal year January 1, 2027 through December 31, 2027. The event takes place on November 18, 2026, at 6:00 p.m. At the Main Branch in Cassopolis, Michigan.

The hearing focuses on the property tax millage rate proposed to support the new budget. The library must complete this public hearing before final adoption of the budget. Interested persons may speak regarding the proposed financial plan.

A copy of the budget and the proposed millage rates is available for public inspection at the library during business hours. The board will provide auxiliary aids for individuals with disabilities upon request.
