Eaton County prosecutor selected as Michigan GOP attorney general nominee
Michigan Republicans selected Eaton County Prosecuting Attorney Doug Lloyd as their nominee for attorney general during a statewide convention Saturday. About 2,000 delegates also chose nominees for lieutenant governor, secretary of state, the Michigan Supreme Court and other offices.
The convention completed the party’s statewide ticket ahead of absentee voting, which was expected to begin within a month. Lloyd’s nomination placed an Eaton County official on the Republican ticket for the 2026 statewide election.
