Grand Ledge lifters pursue records to support veterans
Lifters gathered in Grand Ledge for a charity event featuring attempts at two-hour weightlifting records. Fitness competitor Ross Bell tried to complete 1,400 clean-and-jerk repetitions with a 52-pound kettlebell, exceeding the existing record of 1,344 repetitions.
Other participants took part in two-hour lifting challenges. The event included a virtual component with participants from several countries, and proceeds were designated for a veterans’ fitness group.
