Howl‑O‑Ween pet fun returns to Old Town Lansing for 25th year
Old Town Lansing is set to host its 25th annual Howl‑O‑Ween celebration on Oct. 16, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. The festivities begin at Preuss Pets, where attendees can check in, collect a map, and receive a goodie bag.
From 4:00 to 6:00 p.m., trick‑or‑treating will wind through the historic district, supported by local small businesses, pet vendors, kid activities, and on‑site dog trainers. At 6:00 p.m., a costume contest will take the stage, with celebrity judges crowning the most creative outfits.
The event is free for anyone wishing to bring a pet and trick‑or‑treat, though pre‑registration is required for the official costume contest and goodie bags. The celebration also highlights shelter animals seeking forever homes, including Norman, a nine‑year‑old dog currently with Ingham County Animal Control.
