A 71‑year‑old Ingham County resident won a $100,000‑per‑year prize in the Michigan Lottery’s Millionaire For Life game on August 20, matching the numbers 01, 16, 26, 40, and 44.

She logged in the morning after the drawing and saw a pop‑up notification that she had won over $2 million, a surprise that spurred her to claim the prize at the Michigan Lottery headquarters.

Choosing the $100,000‑per‑year option for 20 years or her lifetime, she plans to use the winnings for home renovations and savings, marking the second such win in the state since the program’s launch in February.
