Ingham Court finds marijuana business violated Iosco wetlands protections
The 30th Circuit Court in Ingham County ruled Sept. 23 that Bliss Corporate Inc. and 3227 S. National Road LLC violated Michigan’s wetland protection law by developing protected wetlands in Iosco County for a marijuana farm.
The state sued the companies in August 2025, alleging they cleared, dredged, drained and filled 15.9 acres in Sherman Township starting in 2022. The court will consider civil penalties and injunctive relief at a Nov. 24 hearing. The law allows civil fines of up to $10,000 per day of violation.
