Ionia man sentenced to at least 25 years for assaulting child

Brandon Mulder of Ionia was sentenced Aug. 18 to at least 25 years in prison for sexually assaulting a child under 13, according to the Ionia County prosecutor.

Mulder must register as a sex offender and wear an electronic monitor for life. The child came forward, caretakers contacted police, and Ionia Public Safety officers arrested Mulder after an interview.
