Lawmakers and union members rally for jobs legislation in Lansing

Bipartisan lawmakers and union advocates gathered at the Michigan Capitol to promote legislation aimed at keeping jobs in the United States. Members of CWA District 4 and lawmakers from both parties met on the west steps of the State Capitol to call for action on House bills 6069 and 6070.

Supporters say the legislation would keep jobs in the U.S. And hold companies accountable when they receive taxpayer-funded dollars while outsourcing work overseas. The group argues Michigan taxpayers should not be subsidizing companies that send jobs out of the country and is calling on lawmakers to advance the legislation.
