Medicare for All gains strong support in National survey, boosts candidates

A new survey from Rep. Pramila Jayapal’s Medicare for All PAC shows that 94% of Democratic voters support the program, with 60% overall favorability and 55% in battleground districts, according to data from Greenberg Quinlan Rosner Research.

The findings are already influencing campaigns, with Democrat Randy Villegas in California’s Central Valley and Michigan’s Abdul El-Sayed citing Medicare for All as a key platform, and Jayapal plans to push for a congressional markup alongside Rep. Debbie Dingell and Sen. Bernie Sanders.

The survey also highlights the financial strain of rising premiums and uninsured rates, noting that 26.7 million Americans were uninsured in 2025 and that 70% of respondents criticize for-profit insurers, while 73% view prescription drug companies negatively, underscoring the need for a universal health plan.
