Michigan basketball enters title defense with new coach and reshaped roster
Michigan will try to defend its national championship under new coach Mike Boynton after Dusty May left to coach the Dallas Mavericks. Boynton, a former top assistant, received a two-year contract.
Michigan retained its roster except for injured sixth man LJ Cason, who transferred to Miami. The team must replace three lottery picks and four other rotation players from last season’s championship squad.
