Michigan State Police completes national trust-building initiative
Michigan State Police completed a national program designed to strengthen trust between troopers and the communities they serve. The department entered the Trust Building Pledge in August 2024 and completed it in July.
The initiative provided a framework for reviewing use-of-force policies, victim services, training and community relations, including work with Michigan’s diverse communities. State police said they will continue applying the program’s principles in their daily work.
