Mother and infant found dead in apartment bathtub in Oakland County

A 36-year-old woman and her 2-month-old son were found dead Friday night in a bathtub at a Waterford Township apartment complex, police said.

Police and fire crews responded around 10:30 p.m. to a report of a possible drowning. First responders began lifesaving measures, and both were taken to hospitals, where they were pronounced dead.

The Oakland County Medical Examiner determined Saturday that both died by drowning. Investigators are awaiting toxicology results as the investigation continues.
