Mother and two daughters struck by train in Ecorse
A 32-year-old woman and her daughters, ages 10 and 4, were struck by a train around 6:30 p.m. Sunday near Salliotte and Fifth streets in Ecorse, police said.
Police said the family was crossing the tracks where one train had stopped when another train passed and hit them. Paramedics treated all three at the scene and took them to a hospital. Police did not release their conditions. Ecorse police Chief Derran E. Shelby urged caution around railroad tracks.
