Northern Michigan musician earns nomination for Nashville music award

Brett Harfert, a northern Michigan musician, was nominated for a 2026 Josie Music Award for his song “Do For You” in the Social Impact Song of the Year category.

Harfert, who has made music for 20 years, said he was surprised by the nomination. The awards ceremony is set for Sunday at the Opry House in Nashville.
