Oman inflation rose to 3.2% in July as food costs climbed
Oman’s annual inflation rate increased to 3.2% in July 2026 from 2.8% in June, driven by higher food prices and transport costs, according to National Centre for Statistics and Information data.
Food and non-alcoholic beverages rose 7.3% from a year earlier. Vegetable prices increased 19.9%, fruit prices rose 15.8%, meat prices climbed 8.7% and fish prices rose 5.7%.
Transport costs increased 6.5%, while miscellaneous goods and services rose 5.3%. Lower housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuel costs, down 0.6%, partly offset the overall increase.
