Pelosi warns voting restrictions could threaten women’s access to the ballot

Nancy Pelosi marked Women’s Equality Day at San Francisco City Hall by celebrating the 106th anniversary of the 19th Amendment and warning that proposed voting restrictions could disenfranchise eligible Americans. She criticized the SAVE America Act’s requirement for documentary proof of citizenship to register to vote, saying married women whose names differ from their birth certificates could face particular obstacles.
