Alpena hosts Bridge Michigan summit on Oct.21 to discuss state issues

Alpena Community College will host a local gathering on Oct.21 at the Granum Theatre, joining the statewide Bridge Michigan Issues Summit.

The summit brings Michiganders together to examine the issues that matter most to communities across the state. Panels will draw from Bridge Michigan's yearlong reporting initiative, Bridge listens, and will be moderated by Bridge Michigan reporters, diving deep into top reporting topics of health, education, the environment, and the economy/affordability.

The summit will be available virtually, but joining in person at ACC's Granum Theatre offers an opportunity to watch the statewide discussion together and then engage in live local dialogue during breakout sessions focused on how these issues affect our communities and our region. As we celebrate 250 years since the Declaration of Independence, this gathering provides an opportunity to put the principles of representative government, civic participation, and informed decision-making into action for Northeast Michigan.
