Fatal stabbing near downtown Lansing remains under investigation

Lansing police are investigating the fatal stabbing of a 22-year-old man near a downtown convention hall. Officers and firefighters provided medical care after responding to a suspicious situation, but the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

No arrests had been made as of the report, and police said the investigation remained active. The death was the city’s fourth homicide this year, compared with five at the same point last year, according to Advance Peace Initiative data.
