Ingham County residents can review new preliminary flood maps

Ingham County residents can attend a virtual open house Wednesday, Aug. 19, to learn about flood risks and ways to reduce potential flooding.

Participants will be able to view their addresses on new preliminary flood maps and meet one-on-one with local officials and Federal Emergency Management Agency experts about potential risks to their properties.

The Zoom meeting is scheduled for 3 to 5 p.m. Residents also can view and download preliminary versions of the Flood Insurance Study report and Flood Insurance Rate Maps through FEMA’s online resources.
