Lansing police investigate human remains found Saturday evening

Lansing police investigated human remains found Saturday evening in the 2400 block of Tecumseh River Road, with Officers dispatched at 7 p.m. To the area.

The Lansing Police Department’s CSI unit and the Michigan State Police Crime Lab were called to the scene, and investigators later brought in the Michigan State University Anthropology team for a thorough investigation.

Based on the condition of the remains, police believe they are several years old. The case has been turned over to the Medical Examiner’s Office, and investigators are working to identify the individual.
