Michigan State Police to host free teen driving course in Lansing

Michigan State Police will hold a free defensive driving course for teen drivers on Aug. 30 at its driving track in Lansing, ahead of the new school year.

The course is open to drivers between 14 years, 9 months and 19 years old who hold at least a Level 1 license. Two sessions will be offered, one from 8 a.m. to noon and another from 1 to 5 p.m.

Instructors will provide defensive driving tips and hands-on guidance aimed at helping young drivers build safer habits. Spots are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis; those interested can register by contacting Trooper Dillon at [email protected].
