MSU fraternity Council cancels recruitment events after member’s death

Michigan State University’s Interfraternity Council canceled all recruitment activities Thursday evening after the death of an IFC fraternity member. Officials have not released the member’s identity, chapter affiliation or cause of death.

Chapters may extend bids by phone, but in-person recruitment events were canceled and prospective members were barred from attending chapter events Thursday evening. Recruitment headquarters at the MSU Union remained open for eligibility and registration questions.
