Vance and Michigan Senate candidate clash over remarks about his family

Vice-President JD Vance and Michigan Democratic Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed exchanged increasingly personal accusations during the campaign.

At an event supporting Republican candidate Mike Rogers, Vance told El-Sayed to keep his wife’s name out of his remarks. El-Sayed had appeared to suggest that Vance’s late grandfather would not accept Second Lady Usha Vance, who is Hindu.
